Dedicated Advocates Working Tirelessly to Secure Your Social Security Disability Benefits

A Legacy of Advocacy Since 1975

At Binder & Binder®, our greatest strength is our people. For more than four decades, our dedicated team of advocates, case managers, and support staff have worked tirelessly to help Americans navigate the complex Social Security Disability system. What began with two brothers committed to making a difference has grown into America's most successful Social Security Disability advocacy firm, with a nationwide presence and an unmatched record of success.

Four Decades of Experience and Dedication

Brothers Harry and Charles Binder founded Binder & Binder® in 1975, establishing a firm built on the principles of compassion, perseverance, and unwavering client advocacy. Their commitment—and their staff's commitment—to fighting for clients' rights has helped hundreds of thousands of disabled Americans obtain the benefits they were entitled to receive.

What makes our success particularly meaningful is that almost all our clients had initially been denied benefits when they applied on their own. Time and again, Binder & Binder® has made the critical difference between losing and winning, between continued financial hardship and receiving the benefits rightfully earned through years of work.

Today, our team includes dozens of experienced advocates, case managers, and support staff across the country. Many of our team members have been with Binder & Binder® for decades, developing unparalleled expertise in Social Security Disability law and advocacy. This institutional knowledge, combined with our passionate commitment to client service, creates an advocacy experience unlike any other in the field.

Charles E. Binder

Most people keep a personal picture on their desks. Usually it's a family member. Sometimes it's a pet. Charles Binder has a picture of The Lone Ranger on his desk. "He didn't have any magical super hero powers, but he always did the right thing," is how Charles explains why he likes that picture.

As the firm's moral compass, Charles is in charge of seeing to it that Binder & Binder® "does the right thing" for our clients. His leadership philosophy centers on treating each client with dignity and respect while advocating fiercely for their rights. With a legal career spanning more than 45 years, Charles has personally helped shape disability advocacy practices nationwide.

Charles earned his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and has been admitted to practice in multiple federal jurisdictions. His deep understanding of Social Security regulations and administrative law has been instrumental in developing the strategic approaches that have helped countless Binder & Binder® clients win their cases.

Beyond his legal practice, Charles is a frequent speaker on disability advocacy and has been featured in numerous publications for his expertise in the field. His commitment to justice extends beyond the office through his involvement in various community service initiatives focused on improving access to legal services for underserved populations.

Harry J. Binder

Harry Binder knows how to start things. It was on May 19th, 1975, that he started Binder & Binder®. Harry was working late that night. At about 9:30 P.M. a big guy wearing a raincoat, sneakers, and a very worried look rang the door bell at Harry's small office in Patchogue, New York.

It was a proud but discouraged, and almost penniless ex-firefighter. Harry invited him in, sat him down, made him a cup of instant coffee, and listened to a story that he was destined to hear many times, in many different forms, from many different people, in the years to come. That night marked the beginning of Binder & Binder's® journey to become America's premier Social Security Disability advocates.

Harry's visionary leadership has been the driving force behind the firm's expansion from a small local practice to a nationwide advocacy firm. His innovative approaches to case management and client outreach have revolutionized how disability advocacy is practiced in America. Harry's insistence on comprehensive representation—from initial application through all levels of appeal—has become the hallmark of the Binder & Binder® approach.

After earning his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, Harry dedicated his career to helping disabled Americans navigate the often overwhelming Social Security system. His pioneering work in disability advocacy has earned him recognition as one of the nation's foremost experts in the field.

Harry remains actively involved in the firm's operations and strategic direction, continuing to bring the same passion and commitment to client advocacy that motivated him on that fateful night in 1975 when he helped his first disability client.

Our Nationwide Team of Advocates

The Binder brothers' vision has expanded through a national team of dedicated advocates who share their commitment to excellence and client service. Our advocates come from diverse professional backgrounds—including law, healthcare, social services, and former Social Security Administration employees—bringing valuable perspectives and insights to each case.

All Binder & Binder® advocates undergo rigorous training in Social Security regulations, case law, and advocacy techniques. They stay current with the constantly evolving rules and procedures through continuing education and regular case strategy sessions. This ensures that our clients receive representation based on the most up-to-date knowledge and approaches.

Unlike many firms where clients rarely speak to the same person twice, we assign a dedicated advocate and case manager to each client. This team approach ensures personalized attention while providing the depth of knowledge that comes from our collective experience. Your advocate will be with you from your initial consultation through the resolution of your case, providing consistency and peace of mind during a challenging time.

Case Management Specialists

Supporting our advocates is a team of experienced case management specialists who handle the crucial behind-the-scenes work that can make or break a disability claim. These detail-oriented professionals:

  • Gather and organize medical evidence

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers

  • Ensure timely filing of all required documentation

  • Track case progress through the Social Security system

  • Prepare comprehensive case files for hearings

  • Maintain regular communication with clients

Many of our case managers have been with Binder & Binder® for more than 15 years, developing specialized expertise in different medical conditions and regional Social Security office procedures. This experience allows them to anticipate potential issues and address them proactively, increasing the likelihood of a favorable outcome for our clients.

Join Our Family of Satisfied Clients

Having represented hundreds of thousands of clients nationwide, Binder & Binder® is ready to help you. Our team brings not just legal expertise but genuine compassion and understanding to each case. We know that behind every file is a person struggling with health challenges and financial worries. That knowledge motivates us to fight tirelessly for the benefits you deserve.

When you choose Binder & Binder®, you're not just hiring an advocate—you're joining an extended family of satisfied clients who have experienced the difference that true dedication and expertise can make in the disability claims process.
